Jesus famously told Peter in Matthew 16:18, “I will build My church, and the gates of hell will not prevail against it.” What a tremendous promise! Jesus promised to build a Body of believers who would gather around Him, live in constant fellowship with Him, and represent His purposes in the world — and no opposition would ever be able to defeat His Body, His Church. From the moment we trust in Jesus as our rescuer from sin and judgment, we become a part of His Church, and our fellowship and partnership at Wildwood Community Church is one local expression of His glorious Body. Together, we follow Him and live to express His glory all the days of our lives.
Overall plans include a 19,000 sq. ft. addition, upgraded student spaces, facility enhancements, and classrooms for both children and adults. Overhead view of Wildwood facility expansion plans, including parking to the south, bridge, and new Student building with gym.
This facility expansion will see 19,000 sq. ft. of additional ministry space to allow us to have a wider reach in our community, while still having deep opportunities for spiritual growth and discipleship.
By growing wide, we mean that we would continue to reach those in our city, state, nation, and world with the hope of the gospel, inviting all to follow Jesus together with us.
Your 3-year commitment to Deep & Wide should be above and beyond your regular tithes and offerings. We know this will require sacrifice, but the ongoing ministry and mission of our church requires a continued commitment to the general budget.
Pray that God would give you clarity and direction on how to be a part of the great things God is doing in and through Wildwood Community Church then consider a 3-year commitment to helping us continue to grow deep and wide in discipleship and evangelism.
You may have stocks, property, or other items of that nature that God may be leading you to give from. Please let our financial office know if you need assistance with facilitating gifts of property or stock, and we would be happy to assist you. You may contact our church administrator, Herschel Thompson, via the email button below.
We have also included more information about a few additional ways of giving in the linked articles below.

We are asking that everyone make a 3-year commitment. The start of that commitment will be March 9, 2025, and the completion will be March 2028.
No, this is a spiritual commitment between you and the Lord. All pledges will be handled confidentially just like regular tithes and offerings. Pledges will not be published. We also understand that in a 3-year time period, financial and life circumstances may change. The Lord may allow you to give more, or you may need to give less than your pledge. Our prayer is that you would follow the Lord’s leading in all areas of your life, including finances.
God is the creator and owner of all things, and all that we have was given to us by Him. Believers are called to be faithful stewards of all the resources that God has entrusted to us, and God has commanded us to give to others and to Him. Therefore, our desire and prayer is that you would begin to grow in your understanding of the joy of biblical stewardship and start giving regularly and sacrificially to the Lord.
The project will include a debt component, likely in two phases. First, we have arranged a construction loan to facilitate building while pledges are still being received. Second, we may need a loan to cover the difference between the project's cost and the funds received from the project and donations received. Currently, we are in need of an additional $3.8 million in pledges to cover the projected cost of the project. In the Deep and Wide Campaign, we are trusting God for this $3.8 million and invite you to participate with us in answer to that prayer!
We hope to begin construction by summer 2025, and the duration of construction is projected to be less than one year.
Our construction team is able to complete construction without us being displaced from our existing building. We will continue to operate as normal on Sundays and Wednesdays with adjustments made as necessary to the location of entrances, offices, classrooms, and parking.
Our elders prayerfully considered and investigated the potential of planting a church, and doing so remains a future possibility. However, at this time, we feel that God has confirmed expansion at our existing location. Our ability to acquire land south of our current campus to provide additional parking critical to expansion as well as the $7 million committed prior to the start of the capital campaign seem to confirm that we are moving in the direction God desires.
The total cost of the project is estimated at $10.6 million. While that number is large, our God is generous, and we have already seen $6.8 million given or committed to the project!
Our desire is to raise an additional $3.8 million as a church family over the next 3 years to pay for this facility expansion. In the Deep and Wide Campaign, we are trusting God for this $3.8 million and invite you to participate with us in answer to that prayer!
While we have a corporate prayer goal to raise the full $10.6 million, our discipleship goal is for every Wildwood household to prayerfully consider what He would have you do, then give that amount joyfully as an act of worship!
