What is the Lead Me Class?

Several times per year, Brooke Harrison, our Children’s Pastor, presents a class called Lead Me, which is a family class about what it means to follow Jesus.

This class walks through 10 Gospel truths in a way that elementary age kids can understand them.

Our goal through this class is to equip families to guide conversations at home about what it means to follow Jesus.

We also let the kids pick out a new Bible at this class.

Leading Your Kids to Christ
At Home

Sharing the gospel with children is so important! Studies show that elementary ages are a significant time of spiritual development.

Decisions made by the age of 10 can begin a pattern for relationships and behavior that last a lifetime.

One of our goals through Wildwood’s Children’s Ministry is to equip and encourage parents as you lead your children at home.

We hope these resources will help parents guide gospel conversations at home with your children.

“I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.” 3 John 1:4

Printable Gospel Documents

These documents can be downloaded and printed to help you share the gospel with your kids. What is the gospel? The gospel is the good news – the message about Christ, the kingdom of God, and salvation.

Tip: For younger children, it might be helpful to watch the videos below with your child, and discuss the points from the documents afterward. For older children, it might be beneficial to print out the document for your child to follow along with the video.

Gospel Videos

This video from The Gospel Project for Kids accompanies the first printable document above, “The Gospel: God’s Plan for Us.” On Sunday mornings, we use The Gospel Project for Kids curriculum in our classes.

This video from Crossroads Kids’ Club is a “quick version” of God’s whole story.
