Norman
Norman is a dynamic community that is experiencing steady growth. Already the third largest city in the state of Oklahoma, Norman is projected to grow in population by 50,000 people over the next 20 years. Much of this growth will be on the east side of town where hundreds of homes are projected to be built within a 2 mile radius of our church. Our current “east side” location may end up being in the center of town as the city continues to grow in the coming decades. Our proximity to the University of Oklahoma and Tinker Air Force Base also generates many new opportunities to share the gospel with our community.

Worship Center
As a part of the Deep and Wide Campaign, we will invest some resources in maximizing seating inside our current worship center, as well as creating more adequate overflow space in the new large multi-purpose room for Sundays when the main worship center completely fills. In the long term, we desire to build a new worship center, but the cost of that project has delayed its implementation to a later phase.

Adult Ministry
Wildwood offers many opportunities for adults to find community and grow in their relationship with Jesus. With this project, adult classes will have access to 4 new classrooms on Sunday mornings and dedicated space to enhance our Wednesday evening program for adults.

Next Generation Ministry Space

In 2011, Wildwood opened 19,000 sq. ft. of dedicated children’s ministry space. This building has been an amazing tool in reaching the next generation for Christ. Now, thirteen years later, we have maximized 100% of the space. Project plans will add roughly 7,000 sq. ft. of children’s classrooms and an expanded area for our special needs ministry.
When we built the children’s building, we always knew that a “next step” would be to also expand our student ministry space. This project will see the addition of a 12,500 sq. ft. student ministry building that will include rooms for high school and middle school students, as well as a new gym (to be shared with children’s ministry).
In addition, Wildwood’s college ministry is thriving! With this project, we will relocate our college ministry on Sunday mornings to a new large multi-purpose room on the main level where hundreds of college students can gather for breakfast and Bible study before joining the rest of the church body for worship.
DEEP AND WIDE
In total, this facility expansion will see 19,000 sq. ft. of additional ministry space to allow us to have a wider reach in our community, while still having deep opportunities for spiritual growth and discipleship.
How will we do it?
We are asking all Wildwood people to prayerfully consider how the Lord would have you participate in this project financially. We are seeking both one time gifts and three year commitments.
The total cost of the project is estimated at $10.6 million. While that number is large, our God is generous, and we have already seen $6.8 million given or committed to the project!
Our desire is to raise an additional $3.8 million as a church family over the next 3 years to pay for this facility expansion. The project will include a debt component, likely in two phases. First, we have arranged a construction loan to facilitate building while pledges are still coming in. Second, we may need a loan to cover the difference between the cost of the project and donations received. Currently we are in need of $3.8 million additional in pledges to cover the projected cost of the project. In the Deep and Wide Campaign, we are trusting God for this $3.8 million and invite you to participate with us in answer to that prayer!
God will lead some to give $20 and others to give $2 million. While we have a corporate prayer goal to raise the full $10.6 million, our discipleship goal is for every Wildwood household to prayerfully consider what He would have you do then give that amount joyfully as an act of worship! Remember the power of consistency — a $275 gift each month is nearly $10,000 over three years, and every dollar counts. Make your pledge or give online below.
