How does my commitment to the Deep & Wide Campaign affect my regular tithes and offerings?
Your 3-year commitment to Deep & Wide should be above and beyond your regular tithes and offerings. We know this will require sacrifice, but the ongoing ministry and mission of our church requires a continued commitment to the general budget.
What am I being asked to do?
Pray that God would give you clarity and direction on how to be a part of the great things God is doing in and through Wildwood Community Church then consider a 3-year commitment to helping us continue to grow deep and wide in discipleship and evangelism.
Are there additional ways besides cash that I can give more towards the project?
You may have stocks, property, or other items of that nature that God may be leading you to give from. Please let our financial office know if you need assistance with facilitating gifts of property or stock, and we would be happy to assist you. You may contact our church administrator, Herschel Thompson via the Contact page.
We have also included more information about a few additional ways of giving in the linked articles below.

How long is my commitment?
We are asking that everyone make a 3-year commitment. The start of that commitment will be March 9, 2025, and the completion will be March 2028.
Is my pledge legally binding?
No, this is a spiritual commitment between you and the Lord. All pledges will be handled confidentially just like regular tithes and offerings. Pledges will not be published. We also understand that in a 3-year time period, financial and life circumstances may change. The Lord may allow you to give more, or you may need to give less than your pledge. Our prayer is that you would follow the Lord’s leading in all areas of your life, including finances.
What if I have never given to Wildwood before?
God is the creator and owner of all things, and all that we have was given to us by Him. Believers are called to be faithful stewards of all the resources that God has entrusted to us, and God has commanded us to give to others and to Him. Therefore, our desire and prayer is that you would begin to grow in your understanding of the joy of biblical stewardship and start giving regularly and sacrificially to the Lord.
Will we incur debt to accomplish this project?
The project will include a debt component, likely in two phases. First, we have arranged a construction loan to facilitate building while pledges are still coming in. Second, we may need a loan to cover the difference between the cost of the project and donations received. Currently we are in need of $3.8 million additional in pledges to cover the projected cost of the project. In the Deep and Wide Campaign, we are trusting God for this $3.8 million and invite you to participate with us in answer to that prayer!
When will construction start and when will we be in the new building?
We hope to begin construction by summer 2025, and the duration of construction is projected to be less than one year.
Where will we worship while construction is taking place?
Our construction team is able to complete construction without us being displaced from our existing building. We will continue to operate as normal on Sundays and Wednesdays with adjustments made as necessary to the location of entrances, offices, classrooms, and parking.
Why build a bigger building instead of planting a church?
Our elders prayerfully considered and investigated the potential of planting a church, and doing so remains a future possibility. However, at this time, we feel that God has confirmed expansion at our existing location. Our ability to acquire land south of our current campus to provide additional parking critical to expansion as well as the $7 million committed prior to the start of the capital campaign seem to confirm that we are moving in the direction God desires.
