We see Wildwood as one local congregation living out God’s mission in the world to:
Connect people to Christ: His Church
As Wildwood continues to grow, the church depends on people who will step forward and serve God by serving others. We invite you to join us as we seek to worship, connect and serve together. Below are several areas you can be involved in His Mission!
Welcome Team/Ushering – We need volunteers to welcome, greet, and usher on Sunday morning. Each Sunday morning we greet visitors with a smile, help visitors check into Children’s Ministry, seat visitors with a smile and provide information about Wildwood’s ministries. Positions are available on Sundays during all three hours and Wednesday nights.
Children’s Ministry & AWANA– Join us holding babies, teaching preschoolers, mentoring elementary students, leading worship, helping with A/V or skits, and more. Be a part of our ministry to birth through 5th grade students. Opportunities are available both hours on Sunday mornings and on Wednesday evenings.
Student Ministry – Do you want to make a difference in the lives of students grade 6-12? We encourage parents and adult volunteers to be a Small Group Leader or a discipler of one of our Small Group Leaders. We also have annual events that require extra volunteers. Parents can offer to serve their child’s small group by hosting a class fellowship at your home, heading up the coordination for a ministry project, or by just serving the class in general.
College Ministry – CollegeLife ministers to college students in a multi-generational approach. Volunteers are needed to provide one-on-one mentoring to college leaders, or to participate in the Adopt-A-Sooner Program. Adopt-a-Sooner is an exciting way for students to connect to a family within Wildwood church body. Families are asked to meet with their “Sooner” once per month and check in with the “Sooner” at another point during the month.
Worship and A/V Team – Our team leads the congregation in worship through song and consists of two major components: Band – Vocalists and instrumentalists and AV – Sound, lighting and presentation (visuals on screen)
Use your musical talent by leading the body in musical worship and your technical skills, creativity, and production skills to help create an engaging Sunday service. We rehearse on Wednesdays from 6:30 – 9:00 and warm up on Sundays an hour before services. There are numerous positions available and most are in a rotation.
Care Ministry – Is your gift one of hospitality? Are you interested in building mentor relationships, helping with meals, or visiting those who are ill? Join us as a part of the Care Ministry.
Small Group Leadership – We need volunteers to lead a community group or host a community group in your home. Share in the leadership that encourages members to fellowship, pray, study God’s Word, and “live life” together in Christ! Leaders are supported by the Community and Connections Pastor and are able to choose their group meeting time.
